Goals

Clarify assumptions we have about various pieces of the revised landing page copy.

Specifically, do the users…

  1. Find the copy clear and understandable
  2. Recognize Wideview’s distinguishing voice
  3. Understand the value proposition of the product

Testing Method

Objectives:

We will conduct unmoderated testing with participants. The participants will be presented a copy of the rewritten landing page and will be given a series of tasks.

Medium:

Participants will be sent a PDF of a rewritten landing page and will follow a set of instructions

Methodology:

We will conduct a highlighter test

Highlighter Test

Green - Simple and Clear

Red - Unclear and/’or Patronizing

We will ask the participants to highlight or underline pieces of copy that worked for them and to do the same for copy that wasn’t clear or that they found problematic for whatever reason.

We will pay special attention to transitional elements that move the user along the journey (usually CTAs and buttons). We will ask participants what they expect to happen or what they expect to see when moving from screen to screen.

We will test how our participants view primary and secondary CTAs and whether they are clear enough.

Lastly, as most of the participants are from a related field, we will ask for any other useful suggestions we could make regarding the copy.
